Updated: December 20, 2024

This Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by and between U.S. Protective Services, Inc. d/b/a Coastal Carolina Security Institute (“CCSI”), a North Carolina corporation with an office located at 2214 Wrightsville Avenue, Suite B, Wilmington, NC 28412 and South Carolina office at 607 Briarwood Drive, Suite 2, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572, and the student who is enrolled in a course or courses offered by CCSI (“Student”). By using CCSI’s services and enrolling in any courses, programs, or engaging in any training offered by CCSI, Student acknowledges and agrees to the terms and conditions set forth herein.

1. Enrollment and Eligibility:

1.1 Restricted Courses: For reasons of security and public responsibility, some CCSI courses are restricted to specific audiences. Students must complete a credibility and identity verification process for admission to restricted courses. Any misrepresentation or omission of information in this process will result in rejection of the application or dismissal from the course. Students may be required to provide photographic identification, and a photocopy will be kept on record. Students claiming government employment must provide official government ID for access to restricted courses. Verification is a one-time process and must be completed again for future courses.

1.2 Denial of Admission: CCSI reserves the right to deny admission to any student if satisfactory verification of qualifications and/or credentials is not obtained, or based on CCSI’s discretionary assessment of the student’s statements and qualifications.

2. Refund and Rescheduling Policies:

2.1 Refund Policy: CCSI provides a 100% refund if a student cancels the course more than 30 days prior to the scheduled course start date. No refund will be issued for cancellations made within 30 days of the course start date, regardless of date of enrollment in the course.

2.2 Rescheduling Policy: Rescheduling is permitted only once without a fee. The course must be rescheduled for a date within 30 days of the original course date. Once the course has started, rescheduling is no longer permitted, and the student will forfeit the tuition fee.

In the event that CCSI cancels or reschedules the course, the student shall have the option to either request a full refund or request to be scheduled for the same course of study, provided that the rescheduled course occurs within 30 days of the original course date. Such requests must be made within 15 days from the date of the notification of cancellation or rescheduling. If the student fails to make a request within the 15-day period, the student forfeits any right to a refund and shall be deemed to have forfeited their tuition.

3. Attendance and Completion Requirements:

3.1 Attendance: Students must attend 100% of the course in order to receive a certificate of completion. No exceptions will be made. If attendance issues are caused by CCSI, students may reschedule the course within 30 days.

4. No Guarantee of Employment or Registration:

4.1 Employment: CCSI does not guarantee job placement or employment with any entity upon completion of any coursework or receipt of a certificate of completion.

4.2 Licensing or Registration: Completion of coursework or receipt of a certificate does not guarantee that the student will be registered or licensed by any state or regulatory agency.

5. Restrictions on Training Material

9. Confidentiality and Security:

9.1 Confidentiality: Students agree to keep all subscriber codes, usernames, passwords, and other confidential information provided by CCSI strictly confidential. Sharing or disclosing such information is prohibited.

10. Refusal of Registration and Termination:

10.1 Refusal of Registration: CCSI reserves the right to refuse or cancel a student’s registration for any reason, including but not limited to criminality, fraudulent information, or intent to harm.

The arbitration will take place in North Carolina or South Carolina.

12. Indemnification:

12.1 Indemnification: The student agrees to indemnify and hold harmless CCSI, its affiliates, directors, officers, and employees from any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, or expenses, including attorney’s fees, arising from the student’s use of CCSI’s services, violation of this Agreement, or any applicable laws.

15. Amendments and Modifications:
